National Gunite Announces Shane Snyder as President

After 17 years of leadership, service, and dedication to National Gunite and the shotcrete industry, Shane Snyder has been named President of the company, effective June 1, 2026.

Shane’s journey is a reflection of the values that have helped build National Gunite. He joined National Gunite in 2009 as a laborer and has spent the past 17 years learning every aspect of the business from the ground up. Through hard work, determination, and a commitment to his craft, he advanced through the organization, serving as Project Superintendent, Eastern Regional Director, Vice President, Partner, and now President.

Few leaders bring the combination of field experience and customer-facing leadership that Shane does. He understands the realities of the work and the needs of our customers because he has spent his career with his boots on the ground—walking the sewers, culverts, and infrastructure projects we have rehabilitated throughout the region. A certified nozzleman himself, Shane has never been the type of leader to manage from the sidelines. Whether developing rehabilitation solutions with a customer, evaluating conditions in the field, or supporting a crew on a project, Shane leads with confidence, hands-on expertise, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

Over the course of his career, Shane has built a reputation for solving complex underground infrastructure challenges. He has become a trusted resource for municipalities, engineers, contractors, utilities, industrial, and commercial customers throughout the region.

While his title has changed, his focus remains the same: solving problems, serving customers, supporting his team, and delivering the quality workmanship our customers have come to expect.

This transition represents the continued growth of National Gunite and our commitment to developing leaders from within. Kim Kunkle will continue to serve as Chief Executive Officer and remain actively involved in the strategic direction of the company.
